CLUB STATEMENT

Unfortunately, due to a positive COVID-19 test within the playing squad and a number of players awaiting test results, we have taken the decision to pull out of tonight's league match away at Blackfield & Langley FC.

We did not reach this decision easily as we are aware of the potential punishment that may come our way. We obviously want to keep grassroots football going and complete the season, but felt that putting undue pressure on our management team and players to fulfill this fixture was not the correct course of action.

The fact that there is the potential for spreading the virus further, through car share, in the changing rooms or to our hosts, we feel is enough of a justification. However, we also appreciate that not everyone will agree with our point of view.

We are disappointed that we have had to make this decision, but we have a duty of care for peoples health and well being which is far more important at this very difficult time.

To all concerned, please accept our sincere apologies, stay safe and we look forward to resuming our season when it's safe and appropriate to do so.
