Hood returns to Hampshire Football Club

Tadley Calleva Football Club are pleased to announce they have secured the services of Simon Hood, who joins Tadley Calleva FC as Head of Strategy, Sales and Marketing.

Non-league fans in Hampshire will be familiar with Simon, who previously served at Basingstoke Town FC as Sales and Marketing Director during their most successful season in the clubs history.

Tadley Calleva FC Chairman, Sandy Russell commented: “Simon was the driving force behind the partnership with Soccer AM and helped generate global coverage for his former club, in addition to raising a significant amount of income.

He comes with a wealth of experience not only gained in non-league football, but also through working with the likes of League One clubs - AFC Wimbledon and Accrington Stanley. Simon also comes with a wealth of business knowledge having won several awards for his entrepreneurship and business success. We look forward to seeing what Simon can bring to the table and utilize his skills to help continue to push the club forward”.

Simon who is currently a director at John Mason International movers, one of the UK’s largest international shipping companies commented “I am extremely excited to be officially involved back in the world of non-league football. It is already clear from my initial conversations that the team at Tadley Calleva FC are not only ambitious and focused on pushing the club forward, but also ensuring they act professionally without compromising the future of the club.

The club have a fantastic set up and have completed a lot work on upgrading their ground. It was always going to take a special club to draw me back to Hampshire. Although I will be looking at different ways to generate additional income for the playing budget, I will also be helping ensure the club have a clear and sustainable vision for the future.”
